Aggregated data and method

Catalogue studies

Original studies of home auctions: BOE results by notice or lot and catalogue coverage, with dated cut-offs, methods and explicit limitations.

About this series

These studies are dated snapshots of the home-auction catalogue assembled by this search service from the BOE Auction Portal and the Spanish Social Security auction portal. The results study reports the BOE result published for each home-auction notice or lot. Its current edition covers 3,732 results corresponding to 3,084 distinct auctions. It shows whether bids were recorded and how the highest bid compares with the auction value. The coverage study counts records stored at a specific point in time and breaks them down by source, province and status, together with the share of fields without a value.

They help explain what this catalogue covers and which information is available: how many records are current in each province, what share comes from each authority and which data fields are most often missing. These are not official statistics or a monthly series of the auction market.

How the studies are prepared

  • An aggregate query of this service’s own database at the date and time shown in each edition.
  • Residential types only: apartments, houses, detached homes, duplexes, penthouses and studios.
  • “Current” means upcoming or bidding, with a closing date on or after the cut-off—the same rule used by the search service.
  • An edition is published only if its breakdowns add up to the total and denominators reconcile; otherwise it is not indexed.

Details about sources and updates are in how the search service works; our editorial policy explains how content is prepared.

How to cite a study

Cite the study name, cut-off date and edition URL. For example: “Subastas de Viviendas, Home-auction catalogue coverage, snapshot dated 28 September 2026.” Figures describe this catalogue on that date. For current data, use the search catalogue or browse province pages.
